Integrative Care

Evidence-based medicine, blended with natural and holistic therapies.

Integrative medicine does not replace conventional care — it widens it. Labs, imaging, and prescriptions sit alongside nutrition, movement, sleep, stress, mindfulness, and the meaning you find in daily life.

Dr. Alexander-Spencer completed a fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona under Dr. Andrew Weil, a program known for holding natural and holistic therapies to the same standard of evidence as any prescription. She also holds a Master of Arts in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica, which shaped how she listens and how she understands the emotional life woven through physical symptoms.

In practice, that means a visit rarely stops at the chief complaint. Fatigue, pain, digestion, weight, and mood are considered together, with attention to what is driving them — inflammation, sleep debt, hormonal shifts, nutrition gaps, chronic stress, or grief that has not had anywhere to go.

Treatment plans draw from whichever tools serve you best: medication when it is the right answer, supplements and botanicals when they are supported and safe alongside your prescriptions, and lifestyle changes small enough to actually keep. Nothing is recommended without explaining the reasoning, and nothing is dismissed simply because it did not come from a pharmacy.

Treating the whole person — mind, body, and purpose — because they were never separate.
